TB HIV Care (THC), established in 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. THC provides health care services across South Africa to the general population and key populations at increased risk for HIV and TB. These include adolescent girls and young women, sex workers, and people who use drugs.

Purpose of the Position:

To use professional IT and network communication expertise to provide basic technical support to a large user base. Responsibilities include email support, mobile device support, and basic desktop/network support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A+ certification essential
  • N+ certification or equivalent qualification desirable
  • 2-3 years’ desktop and network support experience essential
  • Working knowledge of network equipment (routers, switches, access points)
  • Experience working with suppliers
  • Office 365 administration experience
  • Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities:

Desktop Support:

  • Install, update, and configure computers and tablets
  • Software installations
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Setup and maintain mobile devices and laptops/desktops on Azure domain
  • Support for Windows and Apple Mac computers
  • End-user support in the region
  • Telephonic support to regional branches
  • Remote support using Teamviewer
  • Setup and configuration of Email, Projectors, Microsoft Teams, etc.

Network Support:

  • Maintain user accounts and profiles
  • Troubleshoot site connectivity and VOIP systems
  • Report faults and follow through with resolution
  • Monitor and support routers on Fibre, Microwave, LTE
  • Configure and support wireless networks
  • Setup email on mobile devices
  • Printer installation, setup, and support
  • Basic Microsoft Office 365 support
