About the Role

The Free State Department of Health invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for four (4) Internal Auditor positions. The successful candidates will support internal audit activities by assisting with risk assessments, audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up audits in line with approved audit standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with conducting risk assessments
  • Support planning and execution of internal audit assignments
  • Prepare audit programmes in line with audit methodology
  • Collect and analyse adequate and reliable audit evidence
  • Assist in drafting audit reports for management review
  • Conduct ad-hoc and follow-up audits
  • Provide administrative support to Internal Audit activities

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bachelor’s Degree / equivalent qualification (NQF 7) in:
    • Internal Audit
    • Accounting Sciences (Internal Audit)
    • Risk Management

Knowledge & Skills

  • Valid driving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good planning, organising, and time management
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
