Human Capital Learnership Opportunity
Metropolitan Life is offering an exciting 12-month Human Capital Learnership Programme for unemployed youth interested in developing a career in the insurance and financial services industry.
The programme is scheduled to start in October 2026 and is aimed at providing unemployed young people with valuable workplace experience.
Learners will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in the insurance industry while completing theoretical learning and assessments. The programme also provides an opportunity to obtain a Wealth Management NQF Level 4 qualification.
This opportunity is particularly suited to candidates with an interest in sales, customer service, administration and the financial services industry.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Be between 18 and 34 years old.
- Be a South African citizen by birth.
- Be currently unemployed.
- Belong to a previously disadvantaged group.

Duties and Responsibilities
Successful learners will be expected to:
- Human Capital Learnership – Metropolitan Life
- Graduate Programme – Independent Financial Adviser (IFA)
- Client Service Administrator – Momentum Group
- Warranty Clerk – Hyundai SA
- Agent: Customer Service – Europcar | Durban Downtown
- Complete all theoretical learning and assessments.
- Timely complete all administrative and reporting duties related to the role.
- Collate, compile and distribute documents according to the required standards and within defined timeframes.
- Attend to queries professionally to provide an excellent client experience.
- Ensure client service level agreements are met and exceeded.
- Screen and route queries received to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist with the resolution of client queries.
- Maintain relevant office housekeeping standards.
- Participate in workplace learning and gain practical knowledge from experienced professionals.
