About the Role

The Community Advisor plays an important frontline role in FNB’s Points of Presence network. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving customers promptly and professionally, understanding their needs and ensuring their requests are processed accurately and efficiently.

The role combines customer service, sales support, administration and digital enablement. The successful candidate will help customers move towards self-service and digital banking solutions while identifying opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and grow the active customer base.

Key Responsibilities

As a Community Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Serve customers promptly and professionally.
  • Understand customers’ needs and process their requests accurately.
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience in line with FNB service standards.
  • Support net profit growth through effective sales and service.
  • Encourage customers to migrate from traditional transactions to self-service and digital channels.
  • Grow the active customer account base.
  • Identify and maximise cross-selling opportunities.
  • Track and influence sales activities to achieve predetermined targets.
  • Monitor service activities and improve service efficiencies.
  • Provide accurate and efficient administration.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 as a minimum qualification.

Preferred Qualification

An NQF Level 5 Certificate in one of the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Banking
  • Business Administration
  • Customer Service
  • Related fields recognised by FAIS

Experience Required

FNB requires 1–3 years of experience in customer-facing environments, service delivery or client support, preferably within financial services.
