About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing, updating, validating, and maintaining health information data to support reporting and decision-making processes within the healthcare facility. The role also involves providing general administrative support, maintaining databases, compiling reports, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience within the public service sector.
- Basic knowledge of administrative processes.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication and numeracy skills.
- Ability to compile and manage data effectively.
- Knowledge and understanding of Batho Pele Principles.
- Strong time management skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
Data Management and Capturing
- Capture and update data on the District Health Information System (DHIS).
- Maintain and update the Health Information Management (HIM) database.
- Capture information from manual records into electronic systems.
- Generate spreadsheets and maintain data records.
- Update and maintain all data sets on the system.
Data Quality Assurance
- Validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Perform monthly data reconciliations and quality checks.
- Compile routine statistical reports and information.
- Maintain database integrity for reporting purposes.
Administrative Support
- Receive, register, and track records and documents.
- File and maintain records according to prescribed standards.
- Retrieve information when required.
- Submit reports to relevant directorates.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to office enquiries.
- Record meeting minutes when necessary.
- Perform additional duties delegated by supervisors.
