About the Administrative Controller Position

Clover is searching for a detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Controller to support the financial and operational activities within the Secondary Distribution division. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring accurate reconciliations, debtor management, cash balancing, EFT tracking, and month-end financial processes.

This role is suited for individuals who are analytical, proactive, and comfortable working with financial systems, bank reconciliations, and reporting processes.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / National Certificate (NQF Level 4)
  • National Diploma in Accounting or Finance will be advantageous
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial principles
  • Fluent in Business English
  • Relevant experience in reconciliation, finance administration, or accounting processes

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Debtors and Cashbook Reconciliation

  • Manage outstanding cash balances across branches
  • Capture bank statements into the cashbook system
  • Perform reconciliations and balancing of accounts
  • Investigate and resolve unregistered payments
  • Work closely with branches regarding payment discrepancies

Cash and EFT Management

  • Distribute daily bank statements to branches
  • Conduct daily cash balancing procedures
  • Investigate anomalies involving cash deposits and receipts
  • Handle petty cash controls and voucher processing
  • Assist with EFT identification and allocation

Cashless Payment Reconciliation

  • Maintain balancing schedules for cashless transactions
  • Reconcile Flash, Kazang, and other payment systems
  • Investigate discrepancies between receipts and deposits
  • Liaise with branches regarding unresolved variances

Agent and Financial Administration

  • Manage agent payment allocations
  • Monitor and investigate cash shortages
  • Capture and allocate payments accurately
  • Liaise with agents and related stakeholders

Month-End and Balance Sheet Processes

  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
  • Clear driver shortages and unknown accounts
  • Handle receipting and de-receipting processes
  • Support month-end finance and distribution activities
