About the Role
As an Administrative Controller, you will play a key role in managing pallet transactions between production facilities, warehouses, transport providers, customers, and CHEP depots. You will monitor pallet movements, reconcile stock, investigate discrepancies, compile management reports, and ensure all pallet-related documentation is completed accurately.
The position also includes responsibility for branch yard control, ensuring pallets and returnable containers are safely stored, properly sorted, accurately recorded, and readily available for operational requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
- Relevant experience in administration, logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain
- Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and other business systems)
- Fluent Business English
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Strong numerical and reporting skills

Key Responsibilities
Pallet Administration
- Control CHEP and non-CHEP pallet movements
- Ensure correct pallet documentation is completed
- Verify THAN and PCN transactions
- Monitor pallet transfers between branches
- Ensure customer invoicing accuracy
- Follow up on pallet returns and collections
Reporting and Reconciliation
- Prepare daily pallet movement reports
- Reconcile pallet balances
- Monitor outstanding pickup slips
- Track outstanding customer credits
- Investigate pallet shortages and discrepancies
- Produce reports for management
Customer and Branch Support
- Liaise with branches nationwide
- Support transport companies and customers
- Coordinate pallet collection requests
- Assist finance with pallet-related credits
- Resolve pallet administration queries
Yard and Warehouse Control
- Maintain an organised pallet yard
- Ensure safe pallet stacking and storage
