AECI is inviting ambitious and motivated Grade 12 graduates to apply for its Chemical Production Machine Operator Learnership at its Jacobs manufacturing site in Durban. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Plant Operators with daily production activities.
- Follow instructions from the Production Superintendent.
- Perform general plant housekeeping to maintain a safe workplace.
- Load and offload raw materials, chemicals, and production bags.
- Support plant operations during manufacturing processes.
- Monitor production processes after competency has been achieved.
- Complete production records and documentation accurately.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Work safely in confined spaces and at heights when required.
- Participate in forklift training and operate equipment after certification.
- Perform additional duties required by the production department.
- Work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when operationally required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Mathematics and Physical Science are compulsory subjects.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Good English communication skills.
- Medically fit to work in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Willing to work rotating shifts and overtime.
