The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is recruiting an Administrator: Management Support to join its Financial Markets Department (FMD) in Pretoria. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with an NQF Level 5 Higher Certificate in Administration or Records Management and 2–3 years of administration experience to build a career with one of South Africa’s most respected institutions.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and management support, assist with financial administration, records management, compliance, budgeting, reporting, website and intranet updates, and coordinate key departmental activities.

Key Responsibilities

As the Administrator: Management Support, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the department.
  • Manage records, filing systems and official correspondence.
  • Process invoices and payment documentation.
  • Assist with procurement of goods and services.
  • Support departmental budgeting and expenditure monitoring.
  • Maintain records relating to compliance, risk and audit action plans.
  • Coordinate business continuity planning activities.
  • Support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) responsibilities.
  • Assist with facilities, IT assets and fixed asset administration.
  • Update departmental website and intranet content.
  • Prepare reports and management information.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with SARB policies, standards and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Administration, Records Management or an equivalent qualification.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a management support or administrative environment.
