Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a Grade 12 (Senior Certificate).
A certificate or qualification in any of the following fields will be an added advantage:

Candidates should have 1 to 2 years’ experience in data capturing, administration, records management or an information management environment.

Knowledge and Skills
The position requires knowledge of records management principles, information management practices and data capturing procedures. Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide data capturing and records management services to the Complaints and Mandatory Reporting Units.
Key responsibilities will include capturing, updating, verifying and maintaining complaint and incident information on approved databases and systems. The Data Capturer will process information promptly, check records against source documents and ensure that captured information is accurate and complete.
The role will also involve identifying incomplete information, correcting data errors, monitoring data quality and ensuring consistency across different information systems.

Records Management
Responsibilities will include maintaining electronic and physical records, filing complaint and incident reports, tracking document movement and maintaining relevant registers. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the safekeeping of confidential information.
Reporting and Statistics
The employee will generate daily, weekly and monthly statistics, compile information for management reports and assist with trend analysis. The role will also involve producing information required by Senior Case Officers and supporting quarterly and annual reporting processes.
Administrative and Case Support
The Data Capturer will assist Senior Case Officers with data retrieval and prepare information required for investigations. Additional responsibilities include monitoring outstanding records, updating case-status information and providing general administrative support to the Complaints and Mandatory Reporting Units.
Database Administration
The position will involve maintaining complaint and mandatory reporting databases, monitoring the completeness of electronic records and generating reports from databases. The successful candidate may also assist users with information retrieval and report system defects, inconsistencies or data discrepancies.
