About the Position

AVBOB has an opportunity for a General Worker at its Nqutu Life business unit in KwaZulu-Natal.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic and well-presented office environment. The role also includes basic office support duties such as preparing refreshments, washing dishes and ensuring essential supplies are available.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Clean and maintain the office to a high standard.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop office floors.
• Dust office furniture, flowers and other areas.
• Empty and clean waste bins.
• Clean toilets, sinks and hand basins.
• Ensure toilet paper and soap are available.
• Make tea and coffee for the office.
• Wash dishes and dishcloths.
• Refill tea and coffee dispensers.
• Refill water in the office water cooler.
• Wash office windows.
• Maintain good hygiene and cleanliness throughout the workplace.
• Report cleaning or maintenance-related issues when necessary.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Grade 10 or higher.
• Previous cleaning experience is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate in English is an advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A reliable and responsible approach to work.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow workplace standards.
• Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues.
