Job Overview
The Road Accident Fund is hiring an Officer: Acquisition Management – Quotations in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will support procurement and supply chain activities by managing quotation processes, supplier responses, purchase requisitions, purchase orders and related procurement documentation.
The role also involves supporting business units, conducting market research, maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring procurement activities comply with applicable SCM legislation and prescribed thresholds.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify procurement applications and requests.
- Compile and issue RFQ documentation to suppliers.
- Manage and evaluate supplier quotations.
- Maintain purchase requisitions on the system.
- Create and issue purchase orders.
- Follow up on supplier deliveries.
- Prepare BAC submissions for deviations.
- Compile and maintain weekly procurement reports.
- Keep up to date with SCM legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Support price and contract-term research and negotiations.
- Conduct market research and identify suitable suppliers.
- Review supplier bids for compliance and completeness.
- Arrange BEC meetings for complex quotation evaluations.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.
- Assist with Regulation reports and management reporting.
- Provide timely support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain supplier and service-provider relationships.
- Ensure relevant procurement documentation is properly archived.
Minimum Requirements
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in an Acquisition Management environment.
- Experience specifically dealing with quotations is required.
- Knowledge of procurement and SCM within State-Owned Entities will be advantageous.
