About the Role
SAB is seeking a capable and experienced Warehouse Co-ordinator to support the efficient management of warehouse and logistics operations at its Rosslyn Brewery.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Warehouse Controller and various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that warehouse activities meet required standards for safety, quality, inventory accuracy, productivity, logistics and cost management.
The position requires someone who can analyse operational performance, identify recurring problems and implement practical solutions that improve warehouse efficiency.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Warehouse Operations
- Coordinate daily warehouse priorities and activities.
- Monitor warehouse capacity and resource requirements.
- Improve picking, sorting, pallet repair, decanting and overpacking operations.
- Monitor labour and equipment utilisation.
- Maintain strong operational routines and performance reviews.
Inbound & Outbound Logistics
- Monitor inbound deliveries and outbound plans.
- Ensure loading and unloading activities are completed efficiently.
- Monitor delivery schedules and warehouse capacity.
- Track OTIF, FTCT and other logistics KPIs.
- Address logistics escalations before they affect operations.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Ensure daily stock counts are completed.
- Investigate and resolve stock variances.
- Maintain ERP and physical stock alignment.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, stock posting and days inventory on hand.
- Manage stock rotation using FEFO principles.
- Reduce risks associated with obsolete stock and inventory losses.

Safety & Compliance
- Conduct warehouse risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents and identify root causes.
- Ensure forklift maintenance schedules are followed.
- Support emergency preparedness.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Conduct 5S audits and maintain warehouse housekeeping standards.
Quality Management
- Ensure warehouse quality standards are maintained.
- Monitor product freshness, batch management and stock rotation.
- Work with Quality Assurance teams on product quarantine, inspection and release.
- Track quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support quality induction programmes.
Contractor & Supplier Management
- Manage relationships with contractors and 3PL providers.
- Conduct SLA reviews.
- Ensure contractors comply with safety requirements.
- Monitor supplier and service-provider performance.
- Work to improve productivity and business partnerships.
Financial Management
- Monitor warehouse-related costs and budgets.
- Reduce unnecessary overtime and temporary labour.
- Analyse monthly financial performance.
- Monitor general ledger accounts.
- Identify opportunities to reduce supply-chain overheads.
- Compare actual costs against budgets and implement corrective actions.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement The successful candidate will be expected to use structured problem-solving methods, including:
- 5 WHY
- PDCA
- GAPA
- RACI
- OPLs
- Abnormality Reports
- SIC
The role also involves analysing recurring problems, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
Technology & Systems
Applicants should be comfortable working with warehouse and business systems, particularly SAP and ERP platforms. The role requires accurate reporting, monitoring of operational data and effective use of performance information to improve warehouse results.
