The successful candidate will report to the Warehouse Manager and assist with warehouse operations, stock control, spare-parts handling and distribution.

About the Role

The Junior Warehouse Controller will support the efficient operation of FlySafair’s warehouse and spare-parts activities.

The position involves receiving, storing, issuing and distributing spare parts, maintaining accurate stock records, preparing shipping documentation and ensuring that parts are delivered to the appropriate hangars, airports and outstations.

The role also requires the successful candidate to work with stock management systems, follow warehouse procedures and maintain a clean and controlled warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse and Stock Control

  • Assist with weekly cycle counts across warehouses when required.
  • Draw and issue spare parts from the main warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare-parts movements.
  • File all relevant warehouse documentation.
  • Update the stock ERP system (SAM) for stock movements.
  • Assist with receiving and dispatching parts.
  • Ensure warehouse access is properly controlled.
  • Complete daily housekeeping duties.
  • Perform general warehouse duties as instructed.

Parts Distribution

  • Direct spare parts to outstations, hangars and airports where required.
  • Deliver spares to various hangars.
  • Respond to requests for spares received via email, telephone and WhatsApp.
  • Ensure parts are sent to the correct destinations.
  • Assist with the movement of parts between warehouse locations.

Shipping and Documentation

  • Prepare shipping documentation.
  • Package parts according to applicable Work Instructions.
  • Update Flow Centric in accordance with SAM when parts are received or dispatched.
  • Ensure documentation relating to parts movements is accurately completed.
  • Carry out additional logistics and warehouse tasks when required.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • C1/B licence.
  • At least 1–2 years’ warehouse experience.
  • Willingness to work shifts.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Own transport.

Advantageous Requirements

The following will be advantageous:

  • Forklift licence.
  • Valid EB driver’s licence.
  • Valid passport.
  • Additional warehouse or logistics experience.
