About the Internship

The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to people affected by motor vehicle accidents through appropriate social benefits that support financial relief and recovery.

During the internship, successful candidates will receive structured workplace training and practical exposure to claims administration and adjudication while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Interns may be involved in:

Processing supplier, represented and unrepresented claims.
Assisting with death benefit claim administration.
Reviewing and adjudicating claims.
Capturing claim information accurately.
Filing and maintaining claim records.
Providing administrative support.
Communicating with claimants, families, attorneys and service providers.
Assisting with general office administration.
Supporting backlog reduction initiatives.
Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ensuring compliance with RAF policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

Be South African citizens.
Be between 18 and 25 years of age.
Be unemployed.
Have never worked in the relevant field.
Have never participated in an internship programme related to this field.
Hold an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
Submit a certified Grade 12 certificate.
Submit certified qualifications.
Submit a certified South African ID.
Submit a certified academic transcript.
Submit an updated CV.
