About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining accurate product and supplier master data. The role supports business operations by ensuring information remains accurate, complete, and compliant with company standards.

This position plays an important role in ensuring retail systems contain reliable information used across the business.

Key Responsibilities

The Master Data Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Capturing new product listings on company systems.
  • Updating existing product and supplier master data.
  • Validating product information before activation.
  • Maintaining store ranging information.
  • Supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) master data processes.
  • Performing ongoing master data maintenance.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies.
  • Assisting with data quality improvements where required.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Diploma or Certificate in Administration or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
  • 1–3 years of experience in data capturing or master data management is preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as BoMM will be advantageous.
