About the Role

AFGRI is seeking a detail-oriented Administration Clerk (Retail) to join its Emalahleni branch. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of branch administration, stock receiving, invoice processing, cash handling, and reporting. This position is ideal for candidates with administrative experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive stock and compare deliveries with delivery notes.
  • Process and file delivery notes accurately.
  • Assist with receiving duties when required.
  • Ensure all documents are correctly processed and system sequences are maintained.
  • Collect electronic invoices and match them with purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Process warranty claims, damaged goods, shortages, surplus deliveries, and expired stock.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including:
    • Outstanding claims
    • Outstanding purchase orders
    • Negative stock reports
    • Stock variance reports
  • Assist with quarterly stock counts.
  • Capture stock count sheets onto the system.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding outstanding invoices and credit notes.
  • Verify product codes, prices, and stock quantities.
  • Perform daily cash-ups.
  • Report cash shortages or surpluses according to company policy.
  • Submit daily cash balancing reports to the Regional Banking Clerk.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • At least 1 year of administration experience.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
