Kick-start your career with one of South Africa’s largest state-owned companies. Transnet is offering an 18-month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme for unemployed TVET graduates who need practical workplace experience to complete their qualifications.

About the Programme

This programme is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the workplace. Successful applicants will receive structured training, mentorship, and practical exposure within Transnet departments, helping them gain valuable work experience and improve their future employment opportunities.

Available Fields

Applicants must have completed the theoretical component (N4–N6) in one of the following:

  • Human Resource Management
  • Marketing
  • Financial Management
  • Office Management

Daily Duties

Successful learners may:

  • Assist with office administration and departmental projects.

  • Capture and manage data.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Support research and business improvement initiatives.
  • Work with different teams across the organisation.
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and ethical standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen.
  • Aged 18–35 years.
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Completed N4–N6 theoretical studies in one of the listed fields.
  • Letter from your TVET College confirming you require Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
  • Certified copy of your ID.
  • Certified Matric Certificate.
  • Full academic record.
  • No bursary obligation with another employer.
