Curro, one of South Africa’s leading independent school groups, is looking for a professional and dependable Examination Assistant to help ensure examinations are conducted fairly, securely, and according to official examination regulations. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong administrative, communication, and organisational skills who enjoy working in an educational environment.

Main Duties

  • Prepare and organise examination venues before each exam.
  • Verify seating plans and examination materials.
  • Invigilate examinations while ensuring compliance with examination rules.
  • Monitor learners throughout examinations to prevent irregularities.
  • Record attendance and verify candidate information.
  • Distribute and collect examination papers and answer scripts.
  • Count and package scripts accurately after each examination.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all examination materials.
  • Assist the Chief Invigilator with examination administration.
  • Report misconduct or examination irregularities immediately.
  • Ensure examination venues remain quiet, secure, and properly managed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric/NSC or SC).
  • Previous invigilation or administrative experience is advantageous.
  • Supervisory or management experience is beneficial for Senior Invigilator positions.
  • South African citizenship.
  • Age between 23 and 65 years.
  • Must not have a child or ward writing the examinations during the contract period.
