What You’ll Do

As a Reach Truck Driver, you will help ensure safe and efficient warehouse and yard operations by:

  • Operating reach trucks, heavy vehicles, trucks and tractors
  • Moving containers safely between vessels and storage yards
  • Conducting daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections
  • Reporting equipment faults, damage and safety hazards immediately
  • Following warehouse traffic rules and speed limits
  • Maintaining clean vehicles and operator cabins
  • Assisting with stock counts and inventory accuracy
  • Packaging, wrapping and labelling goods for dispatch
  • Cleaning containers, pallets, machinery and warehouse areas
  • Supporting general warehouse operations and teamwork
  • Following all health, safety and NBCRFLI workplace regulations

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants should have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience operating heavy vehicles or similar equipment
  • A valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence
  • Reach truck or forklift operating experience (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of warehouse and container terminal operations
  • Good understanding of workplace safety procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical fitness for lifting, moving and stacking goods
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
