The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Data Capturer at the Land Court in Randburg, Gauteng. • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate • No previous work experience required • A valid driver’s licence will serve as an added advantage

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Capturing and Verification

• Capture information from records into databases, spreadsheets and tables • Verify missing information and identify data entry errors • Review and validate information before submission • Ensure accuracy and completeness of captured data • Perform regular backups and data security checks

Records and File Management

• Maintain registers, records and statistical information • Sort, organise and secure files and documentation • Safeguard court records and case documents • Ensure proper filing and easy retrieval of information

Administrative Support

• Collect applications for default judgments and taxation from the general office • Collect and distribute correspondence • Deliver files and documentation to Registrars • Assist verification personnel with access to files and information • Open files and distribute incoming documents for capturing

Client and Information Services

• Provide information to relevant internal departments • Respond to attorneys’ enquiries relating to quasi-judicial matters • Assist the judiciary, supervisors and Court Manager as required • Update registers and statistics regularly • Support daily administrative operations of the court
