Job Overview
Life Healthcare is seeking 16 Enrolled Nurse Auxiliaries to join the team at Life Nkanyisa Kirkwood Care Centre. Reporting to the Unit Manager, successful candidates will assist in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with nursing regulations, infection prevention standards, and quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
- Participate in quality improvement programs and induction training.
- Complete monthly quality evaluator cards.
- Attend ward and review meetings.
- Adhere to infection prevention and PPE protocols.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Operational Efficiency
- Maintain accurate stock control and administration.
- Record patient admissions, transfers, and discharges correctly.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Minimize absenteeism and maintain attendance standards.
- Work flexible shifts when required.

Patient Care
- Carry out nursing tasks as delegated.
- Assist with patient hygiene, comfort, and safety.
- Support wound care and fracture management procedures.
- Monitor and record patient fluid intake.
- Prepare patients for surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Relationship Management
- Build positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Assist with orientation and support of new staff members.
Minimum Requirements
- Registered as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Current professional registration.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Knowledge of the private healthcare sector will be advantageous.
