Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of the Field Assistant position is to carry out quality maintenance and repair work on telecommunications and building infrastructure equipment. The role supports operational continuity by ensuring that maintenance activities are completed efficiently, safely, and according to service level agreements (SLAs).
The successful candidate will work closely with artisans, technical teams, operations staff, and control centres to maintain equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities
Planned and Preventive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled maintenance activities on telecommunications and facility infrastructure.
- Complete maintenance tasks according to approved work orders and job cards.
- Ensure equipment remains operational and compliant with maintenance standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur.
Corrective and Emergency Maintenance
- Investigate equipment faults and operational failures.

- Respond to emergency breakdowns and assist in restoring services.

Electrical Maintenance

Building Infrastructure Maintenance
