Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 10, Grade 11, Grade 12, or equivalent NQF Level 3–5 qualification
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Willingness to work shifts when required

Added Advantage

  • Previous hospital environment experience
  • Laundry work experience

Laundry Worker Duties

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and distributing linen to hospital wards
  • Sluicing soiled and blood-stained linen
  • Packing dirty linen into laundry bags
  • Loading dirty linen for transport to the service provider
  • Offloading and unpacking clean linen deliveries
  • Conducting quarterly stocktakes
  • Working overtime and additional hours when necessary
  • Providing support to ensure smooth laundry operations within the hospital
