About TB HIV Care

Purpose of the Position

The Data Capturer will assist the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team by capturing, updating, consolidating, and maintaining healthcare data from facilities and programme partners. The role is essential in ensuring accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
  • Training on TIER.Net software or previous TIER.Net data capturing experience
  • Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS programmes
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Department of Health data and M&E systems
  • Experience in data collection and data capturing
  • Public health sector experience will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of the District Health Information System (DHIS) will be beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate in English and isiXhosa
  • Clear criminal record

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Data Capturing and Reporting

  • Capture and consolidate facility data
  • Receive, verify, and consolidate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Update databases with submitted programme data
  • Structure and format information according to reporting requirements

Data Management

  • Maintain registers of facility personnel responsible for data submissions
  • Monitor reporting timelines and follow up on outstanding submissions
  • Keep accurate records of all data received

Stakeholder Support

  • Work closely with the M&E Specialist and project teams
  • Collaborate with Department of Health officials and TB HIV Care staff
  • Collect and capture relevant programme information

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain filing systems
  • Perform general administrative support tasks as required
