Job Overview
The Gauteng Department of Health is seeking two Registry Clerks to join the Administration and Logistics Support team at Jubilee District Hospital. The successful candidates will assist with records management, registry services, document filing, archiving, mail handling, and administrative support within the hospital environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) or equivalent qualification
- Computer certificate
- At least 1 year of experience in records management and registry services
- Exposure to a hospital environment (minimum 1 year)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Batho Pele principles
- Ability to work under pressure and within a team

Key Responsibilities
Registry Services
- Attend to clients at the registry counter
- Handle telephonic and administrative enquiries
- Receive and register hand-delivered mail and files
Mail Administration
- Receive, sort, register, and dispatch incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Distribute notices and registry-related communications
Records Management
- Open and close files according to records classification systems
- File, sort, trace, retrieve, and maintain records manually and electronically
- Audit files using the Metrofiler system
Archiving and Document Control
- Scan files electronically
- Sort and pack documents for archiving
- Maintain records of archived files
- Compile archival documentation and reports for supervisors
Equipment Operation
- Maintain franking machine registers
- Operate office equipment related to registry functions
