Purpose of the Role

The Driver (Code 8) will be responsible for transporting wellness teams, staff members, and equipment to different service delivery areas. The successful candidate will also support community outreach activities and assist with mobilising clients to access healthcare services.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • Valid Code 08 Driver’s Licence
  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to speak English and isiXhosa or another local language
  • Clear criminal record

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Transport wellness teams and equipment safely
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections
  • Report vehicle defects to management
  • Ensure vehicle maintenance is completed
  • Follow road safety regulations and company policies
  • Assist with community outreach programmes
  • Mobilise clients to access healthcare services
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information
  • Support mapping and site profiling activities
  • Ensure smooth coordination during outreach programmes
