Job Overview

The ETDP SETA is recruiting skilled Project Administrators to support the delivery of education and training programmes across provincial offices. This role focuses on project coordination, financial administration, learner stipend management, and reporting within a structured programme environment.


Key Responsibilities

As a Project Administrator, you will:

  • Coordinate and support project implementation and programme activities
  • Manage learner stipend payments, including verification and processing
  • Prepare procurement requisitions through Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • Maintain accurate financial and project documentation records
  • Capture and update project data on the Management Information System (MIS)
  • Verify learner attendance, banking details, and supporting documents
  • Track and maintain stipend and project payment registers
  • Coordinate meetings, logistics, travel, and accommodation
  • Support monitoring & evaluation with data and reporting
  • Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reports
  • Handle stakeholder communication and project-related queries
  • Assist with Project Steering Committee coordination


Minimum Requirements

Education

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in:
    • Business Administration / Management
    • Public Administration
    • HR Development / ETD
    • Office Administration / Project Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) is an advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years administrative experience in a project environment
  • Experience in:
    • Project coordination and monitoring
    • Financial administration
    • Learner stipend processing
    • ETD or public sector programmes

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of skills development legislation
  • Data management and reporting skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical ability
  • Problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
