About the Role
This role is based within the research directorate of the Grootfontein Agricultural Development Institute. You will support agricultural research involving crops and livestock, assist lecturers and students, and help maintain farm and research facilities.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 or equivalent
- No previous experience required
- Basic computer and research skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work extended hours

Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and package research samples (plants & animals)
- Record data (e.g., moisture loss in samples)
- Prepare and maintain research equipment
- Assist with planting, irrigation, and harvesting
- Care for livestock (feeding, milking, treatment)
- Support animal health processes (vaccination, dipping, calving, lambing)
- Maintain farm areas (weeding, pruning, cleaning)
- Assist with student practicals and demonstrations
- Transport students to field/practical sites
- Keep records and track work activities
