Available Engineering Trades

Successful applicants will train in one of the following artisan trades:

  • Boilermaker
  • Instrument Mechanician
  • Electrician
  • Fitter and Turner
  • Diesel Mechanic
  • Auto Electrician (Transportation Electrician)
  • Rigger

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), Physical Science and English (minimum 40%)
    OR
  • N2 qualification with relevant engineering subjects
    OR
  • NCV Level 3 with relevant engineering subjects

Additional requirements:

  • Must be able to travel for training outside Limpopo
  • Must pass a medical fitness test for mining
  • Criminal record and qualification verification required

Skills and Competencies

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
