Old Mutual, a leading African financial services group, is hiring a Personal Lines Consultant in Johannesburg to manage customer service, policy retention, and sales within the short-term insurance environment. This role is ideal for experienced insurance consultants with RE and NQF Level 4 qualifications.


Job Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end customer experience for new and existing insurance clients
  • Provide telephonic and email support on personal lines insurance policies
  • Resolve customer queries, complaints, and urgent service requests
  • Maintain service levels, turnaround times, and QA standards
  • Capture and manage customer and policy data accurately
  • Recommend suitable insurance products and upsell where appropriate
  • Issue policy documentation within regulated timeframes


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Regulatory Examination (RE) – Required
  • NQF Level 4: Short-Term Insurance – Required
  • Relevant tertiary or insurance qualification (advantageous)
  • 2–3 years’ experience in short-term insurance or personal lines
