Key Responsibilities
As an SCC Officer: Warehouse, you will be responsible for ensuring effective inventory governance and operational efficiency within the supply chain.
Inventory & Warehouse Control
- Control and coordinate inventory at the Cape Town Supply Chain Centre (CTSCC)
- Supervise inventory activities across the warehouse and remote storage locations
- Maintain stock accuracy through perpetual stock counts
Systems & Documentation
- Capture goods receiving and issuing transactions in SAP
- Process purchase requisitions and service entry sheets
- Reconcile stock variances and investigate discrepancies
Logistics & Transport Coordination
- Coordinate transport services with contracted suppliers
- Manage deliveries and collections to and from suppliers, harbour locations, and CTSCC
- Attend Cape Town harbour during in-port vessel operations
Compliance & Governance
- Oversee loading and offloading activities in line with safety controls
- Manage obsolete stock and disposal in compliance with governance standards
- Support internal and external audits
Minimum Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Supply Chain–related certification (advantageous)
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Valid Forklift Driving Licence
- Lifting and Rigging Certificate (advantageous)
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehousing and inventory control
- Proven experience in lifting and rigging
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational and inventory management skills
