Job Overview:


SANBI is seeking a self-motivated individual to support project financial reporting and administration, ensuring compliance with donor agreements, SANBI’s policies, the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and other relevant frameworks.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Grade 12 with relevant job-specific qualification (NQF 4) and 5 years of relevant experience; OR National Diploma/Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in Financial Accounting with 3 years relevant experience; NQF 7 (Advanced Diploma or equivalent) will be an added advantage.

Experience and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, GRAP (Generally Recognised Accounting Practice)
  • Experience with donor-funded projects and foreign exchange transactions is an advantage
  • Proficient in ACCPAC accounting software
  • High proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
  • Willingness to travel nationally when required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective financial administration of projects
  • Maintain accurate accounting for SANBI projects
  • Prepare accurate financial reports
  • Maintain project budget and accounting system records
  • Assist in risk management activities
