Job Overview:
SANBI is seeking a self-motivated individual to support project financial reporting and administration, ensuring compliance with donor agreements, SANBI’s policies, the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and other relevant frameworks.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Grade 12 with relevant job-specific qualification (NQF 4) and 5 years of relevant experience; OR National Diploma/Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in Financial Accounting with 3 years relevant experience; NQF 7 (Advanced Diploma or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, GRAP (Generally Recognised Accounting Practice)
- Experience with donor-funded projects and foreign exchange transactions is an advantage
- Proficient in ACCPAC accounting software
- High proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
- Willingness to travel nationally when required
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective financial administration of projects
- Maintain accurate accounting for SANBI projects
- Prepare accurate financial reports
- Maintain project budget and accounting system records
- Assist in risk management activities
