The (RAF) is recruiting 2 Learners: Claims for its Corporate Support Division in Pretoria, Gauteng.

This is a 12-month learnership designed specifically to give unemployed young people practical workplace exposure while developing administrative and claims-related skills.

Purpose of the Learnership

The programme is intended to empower South African youth through skills development and workplace learning.

Successful learners will receive practical exposure to the administration and processing of claims-related documentation and will develop experience that can be valuable when pursuing future administrative, claims or customer-support opportunities.

What Will You Learn?

The workplace exposure may include:

  • Receiving new files from the Correspondence Department
  • Recording and registering files
  • Pre-assessing new files
  • Receiving files from the pre-assessment team
  • Preparing documents for scanning
  • Scanning and indexing files
  • Uploading documentation
  • Preparing files for storage
  • Updating and correcting registration information
  • Verifying files for compliance
  • Preparing compliance documentation
  • Issuing letters of compliance or non-compliance

Who Can Apply?

The opportunity is aimed at unemployed young people aged 18 to 23 who have completed Grade 12/Matric.

Applicants must also meet the programme’s previous-employment and learnership requirements.

Important Eligibility Conditions

Applicants must:

  • Be unemployed
  • Be between 18 and 23 years old
  • Have completed Matric/Grade 12
  • Not have previously been employed in the field of the post
  • Not have previously participated in a relevant learnership programme
  • Not have previously served as a learner
  • Disclose previous learner experience accurately

If previous learnership participation was not disclosed and is discovered later, the applicant may be disqualified.

Stipend
