Quantum Foods has a career opportunity at one of its Packstations with the following vacancy: DRIVER (code 10) TASK 07 This position will report directly to the Distribution Manager and will be based at our Port Elizabeth offices in Thornhill, Eastern Cape.
Job description
Ensure loads are delivered completely, undamaged and on time.
Ensure vehicles (incl. equipment, fittings and vehicle content) are clean and in safekeeping.
Ensure products are loaded securely to prevent damage during transportation.
Report on and document any damaged product during loading or offloading timeously.
Manage the weight distribution of the truck when loading products.
Inspect trucks daily for continued safety and required maintenance.
Record and report on truck inspections prior to departure on the drivers vehicle checklist.
Adhere to safe driving protocols and traffic rules & regulations.
Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
Accurate completion of required documentation.
Ensure that variances identified are reported to the Distribution Manager before leaving a customer.
Minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) / Senior Certificate
- Safe drive record
- Be physically and medically fit
- Good communication and writing skills
- A sound mathematical skill
- Clear criminal record
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Sober habits
- Valid code 10 license (C1) with valid PDP and valid medical certificate
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when operationally required
- 3 Years professional driving experience
