Introduction:
The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA), based in Centurion (Eco Park), is the statutory body regulating the private security industry in South Africa. PSiRA is inviting unemployed South African youth to participate in the Youth Employment Service Programme (YES) 2024/2025. YES is a collaborative initiative aimed at addressing and reducing youth unemployment by providing 12 months of valuable work experience and learning opportunities.
Programme Overview:
Qualified participants will receive a stipend according to their qualification level (NQF 6, 7, or 8) for the duration of 12 months.
The programme focuses on three key areas:
Performance Monitoring and Evaluation:
Requirements:
- National Diploma / Degree in Public Management or Public Administration
Occupational Health and Safety:
Requirements:
- National Diploma / Degree in Safety Management / Occupational Health and Safety / Environmental Science
Customer Relations Management:
Requirements:
- National Diploma / Degree in Business Administration or Business Management / Office Management or Office Administration
Key Competencies:
- Computer literacy
- Verbal and written communication
- Innovative and articulate
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Open-minded with organizing skills
- Ubuntu (putting others first)
- Professionalism, honesty, ethics, accountability, and integrity
Essential Criteria and Conditions:
- South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 years
- Willingness to commit to the PSiRA and YES Programme
- Not previously participated in a Youth Empowerment Programme (YES)
- Studied at an accredited South African Educational Institution in the relevant field
- Submission of comprehensive CV and certified copies of qualifications and ID document
- Indication of preferred field and region in the application letter
Failure to submit required documents will result in application disqualification

Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from SAQA
Successful candidates will be appointed for 12 months
