Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 1- No experience required
  • Grade 2- Ten (10) years’ experience after registration with the South African Council for Social 
  • Services Profession as a Social worker
  • Grade 3- Minimum of 20 years experience after registration with South African Council for Social 
  • Services Profession as a Social worker.
  • Grade 4- Minimum of 30 years’ experience after registration with the South African Council for Social 
  • Services Profession as a Social Worker.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Grade 12/standard10 or Senior Certificate
  • National Diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as professional nurse
  • Post Basic Nursing with at least one (1) year in Advanced Midwifery and Neonatal care accredited with SANC in one of the specialities referred above.
  • A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional 
  • Nurse with the South African Nursing Council in General Nursing.
  • At least 6 years referred to the above must be appropriate / recognisable experience in the specific speciality 
  • after obtaining one (1) year post basic qualification in the relevant speciality.
  • At least 3 years of the period referred above must be appropriate or recognizable experience at management level.
  • Current registration with SANC as general nurse and relevant speciality (2023)
  • Verification of experience endorsed by Supervisor to be attached.
  • Certificate of service endorsed by Human Resource Department to be attached


  • Demonstrate effective communication with patients, Supervisors, other health professionals and junior colleagues including more complex report writing when required. 
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary team at unit level to ensure good nursing care by nursing team.
  • Work efficiently and amicably at a supervisory level with persons of diverse intellectual cultural, racial and 
  • religious difference.
  • Able to manage own work, time and that of junior colleagues to ensure proper nursing services in the unit. 
  • Demonstrate and in-depth understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practice and how this impacts service delivery.
  • Ensure clinical nursing practice and nursing team in accordance with scope of practice nursing standards. 
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of Human Resource and Financial policies and practice.

  • A minimum of 14 years appropriate / recognizable Experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in general nursing, of which at least 10 Years must be appropriate / recognizable experience after Obtaining the one year post basic qualification in Primary Health Care

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior certificate/Matric or equivalent. 
  • Degree/Diploma in General Nursing Science and Midwifery plus. 
  • One (1) year post basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and Care 
  • (PHC). 
  • Current registration with SANC
  • A minimum of 4 years appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience as a General Nurse. 
  • Proof of previous and current work experience written by supervisor.
  • Attach a certificate of service endorsed and stamped by the HR Office.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of all applicable legislations such as Nursing Act, Mental Act, OH&S Act, Batho Pele principles and 
  • Patients’ Rights Charter, Labour Relations Act, Grievance Procedures etc. 
  • Leadership, organizational, decision making and problem solving, conflict handling and counseling. 
  • Good listening and communication skills. 
  • Coordination and planning skills. 
  • Team building and supervisory.
  • Good interpersonal relationship. 
  • Good insight of procedures and policies pertaining to nursing care.
