Quality Assurance In-Service Training at CCBSA

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is offering an In-Service Trainee: Quality Assurance opportunity within its Manufacturing Department at the Lakeside facility. This internship is designed for students who require practical workplace exposure to complete their tertiary qualification in food or laboratory-related fields.

The successful candidate will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and gain hands-on experience in quality testing, reporting, and compliance within a high-performance FMCG environment.


What You Will Do

  • Conduct quality and laboratory tests on products and packaging
  • Compile and maintain quality reports for audit purposes
  • Identify and communicate out-of-specification results
  • Support quality systems to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Apply scientific principles to real-world manufacturing processes

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Understanding of microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and mathematics related to food manufacturing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills
  • Interest in quality systems and continuous improvement
  • High energy, positive attitude, and passion for quality

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%)
  • Two South African languages passed with 40%
  • Currently studying towards Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or a related qualification
  • Must have completed theoretical modules and require in-service training to graduate
  • Official letter from tertiary institution requesting workplace experience
  • South African citizen
  • Employment Equity candidate
  • Unemployed at the time of appointment
  • Aged 18–35
  • Must not have previously completed an in-service programme at another organisation
