Job Purpose

Premier is seeking a hardworking and reliable General Worker Stacker to join the Production team at the Kroonstad Mill. The successful candidate will ensure finished products are stacked and packaged according to quality standards while helping the production team achieve daily throughput targets in a safe, clean, and food-safe manufacturing environment.

This position is ideal for individuals with experience in the milling or food manufacturing industry who are physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker Stacker, you will be responsible for:

  • Packaging finished products on various extrusion machines.
  • Stacking products safely and correctly for storage and distribution.
  • Meeting daily and shift production targets.
  • Monitoring product quality throughout the production process.
  • Recording quality inspection results accurately.
  • Ensuring products meet company quality specifications.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic production area.
  • Following all food safety, health, and safety procedures.
  • Reporting machine faults, breakdowns, and production downtime promptly.
  • Recording and analysing downtime reasons.
  • Performing deep cleaning of production machines and work areas.
  • Assisting with housekeeping activities to maintain production standards.
  • Participating in Invocom™ continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Carrying out additional duties assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department.
  • Supporting production teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Following all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants should have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • At least 1 year of milling industry experience.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience working as a Stacker.
  • Basic understanding of food manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work safely around industrial machinery.
  • Good physical fitness for manual work.
