Job Overview
SACAP is seeking a Full-Time Educator to join the Academic Team at the Durban Campus. The successful candidate will teach up to five modules per term within the Applied Psychology Faculty and play a key role in academic quality, curriculum development, and educator mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach five modules per academic term
- Ensure quality assurance across assigned modules
- Build and support a community of practice with part-time educators
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for curriculum and learning design
- Contribute to campus culture and educator development
- Participate in the Research and Ethics Committee
- Collaborate with academic leadership to enhance learning outcomes
Reporting Line: Head of Learning and Teaching – Physical Campuses
Minimum Requirements
- Registered Counsellor with HPCSA registration (essential)
- Master’s Degree in Psychology with professional HPCSA registration (advantage)
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience in Higher Education
- Experience in blended or online learning environments
- Strong academic writing and curriculum development skills
- High level of digital and technological competence
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Sound understanding of South Africa’s higher education landscape

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
- Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
- Flexible hours may be required to meet academic responsibilities
