Requirements
- Matric/N3 with maths and science
- Red seal, fitting or fitting and turning.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience experience as a Fitter
- 2 years Learnership/Apprentice in Mining or Construction
- Basic exposure to maintenance of general plant equipment (Strong and divers machining ability is a requirement)
- Valid Driver’s license
Description
This position exists to ensure safe installation and maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment i e crusher/gearboxes/pumps etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Health and safety
- Display safety conduct at all times by wearing the correct PPE.
- Attend pre-shift meetings.
- Report unsafe conditions and behavior
- Adhere to FA and client policies and procedures.
- Always behave safe.
Maintenance
- Implement maintenance schedules.
- Maintains\repairs all mechanical equipment (pumps/screens/crushers/gear boxes etc.
- Conduct plant inspection on all key mechanical equipment Identifies and priorities equipment in need of maintenance/repairs.
- Plans down time for repairs/maintenance.
- Plans for material and men to assist.
- Do risk assessment/study procedures.
- Do repairs/maintenance.
