About the Position

Unitrans is seeking an experienced Administration Officer II to support its Mining Division in Richards Bay. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of daily administrative operations by accurately processing documentation, capturing operational data, coordinating creditor functions, preparing reports, and maintaining organized office records.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, finance departments, suppliers, and clients to ensure administrative processes are completed accurately and on time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or National Certificate
  • 2–3 years of general administration experience
  • Experience working with SAGE and Evolve systems will be advantageous
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other MS Office applications
  • Excellent numerical ability
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Reliable, dependable, and professional work ethic

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and maintain accurate operational data
  • Analyze fuel transactions and identify discrepancies
  • Process workshop and administrative creditor documentation
  • Coordinate creditor activities and ensure payment deadlines are met
  • Process revenue invoices and submit them to clients
  • Assist with company asset verification and record management
  • Analyze trip sheets together with weighbridge reports
  • Capture yellow equipment operating hours accurately
  • Assist with Vantage and Bagging Plant administration
  • Manage petty cash according to company procedures
  • Maintain organized electronic and manual filing systems
  • Compile monthly operational and financial reports
  • Submit reports to Head Office and clients within required timeframes
  • Perform general office administration and document control
  • Support operational staff with administrative requirements
