About the Internship

The internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and the workplace. Interns will receive practical training and mentorship while supporting the Human Capital team with day-to-day HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

During the programme, interns may assist with:

  • Recruitment and selection processes
  • Advertising vacancies and screening applications
  • Candidate shortlisting and placement
  • Responding to HR-related queries
  • Employee relations and disciplinary administration
  • Leave administration
  • Payroll input processing
  • Performance management administration
  • HR policy interpretation
  • Grievance management support
  • Staff promotions, transfers and terminations
  • HR filing and record management
  • Preparing monthly HR reports
  • Organising HR meetings, agendas and taking minutes

Minimum Requirements

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be 18–25 years old
  • Be unemployed
  • Never have worked in the relevant HR field
  • Never have participated in an HR internship before
  • Apply for no more than three RAF internship positions
  • Be willing to undergo security vetting
  • Have foreign qualifications evaluated by SAQA (if applicable)
