About the Role
The successful candidate will support the park’s tourism and hospitality operations by ensuring guest accommodation and public facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. The role involves housekeeping, laundry, customer service, cleaning visitor facilities, assisting with maintenance tasks and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors.
This position requires someone who is physically fit, dependable, customer-focused and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays and shifts.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric), NCV Level 4 or an equivalent qualification.
- 1–2 years’ experience as a General Worker in a tourism or hospitality environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment.
- Basic customer service skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and rotating shifts.

Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Clean guest accommodation, including bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
- Change bed linen and replenish guest amenities.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and polish furniture.
- Clean ablution blocks, picnic areas, braai facilities and other visitor areas.
- Collect, sort and distribute laundry and linen.
- Maintain high hygiene and housekeeping standards.
- Remove refuse and keep facilities clean and presentable.
- Assist with minor maintenance of buildings, roads and park infrastructure.
- Report maintenance defects and safety hazards.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Wear and maintain appropriate PPE.
- Assist during guided walks, educational activities and special events.
- Conduct routine inspections of visitor facilities.
- Help manage stock levels of cleaning materials and guest supplies.
- Deliver friendly and professional customer service to visitors.
