About the Role
The Operator I position is responsible for supporting daily plant operations, product packaging, container cleaning, forklift operations, stock counting, and truck loading and offloading activities. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring operational efficiency, workplace safety, and product quality standards are maintained at all times.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Print labels and stencil packaging containers.
- Pack products into various packaging sizes.
- Clean returnable containers according to company standards.
- Load and offload trucks, tankers, and isotainers.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Manage and separate waste materials.
- Communicate operational information during shift handovers.
- Assist with plant shutdown preparations.
- Liaise with relevant personnel during operational activities.
- Conduct accurate stock counts during stock-taking processes.
- Maintain safety standards and compliance procedures across the plant.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants should have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Chemical Operations NQF Level 2 qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a chemical plant environment.
- Valid forklift licence.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
