The Secunda Operations facility is known as the world’s largest coal-to-liquids (CTL) operation, producing synthetic fuels and chemical feedstock using Sasol’s proprietary Fischer-Tropsch technology.

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will assist in maintaining HVAC equipment to ensure continuous plant operations and support maintenance activities across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain HVAC and related equipment
  • Wash filters and HVAC units
  • Clean cooling towers and plant areas
  • Sand and paint HVAC equipment
  • Clean storerooms, HVAC yards, and plant rooms
  • Carry tools and equipment safely
  • Operate mobile WAP HP cleaning machines
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping standards

Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • National Senior Certificate or N3 qualification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Valid driver’s license (Code EB/EC1 is advantageous)

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant mechanical experience
  • Experience using hand and power tools
