Client Services Officer Vacancy in Cape Town

Ampath Laboratories is inviting applications for a Client Services Officer position in Cape Town. As a Client Services Officer, you will play an important role in supporting efficient client service and laboratory operations. Your responsibilities will involve accurate handling of patient and specimen information, administrative support, communication with clients and colleagues, and helping ensure that reports and results are processed and communicated efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate may be responsible for:

  • Capturing and maintaining accurate patient and client information.
  • Assisting with the preparation and handling of specimens for sub-contractors.
  • Supporting the smooth flow of specimens and related documentation.
  • Ensuring reports and results are processed and communicated within required timeframes.
  • Providing professional and helpful client service.
  • Maintaining accurate records and administrative documentation.
  • Using computer systems to capture and manage information.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, healthcare professionals and internal teams.
  • Supporting Ampath’s service standards and operational requirements.
  • Contributing to a positive, professional and people-centred healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
  • 1–5 years of administrative experience.
  • Previous experience in a medical, healthcare or laboratory environment will be advantageous.
  • Good computer literacy and ability to work with computer-based systems.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • Good numerical reasoning and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Professional approach to client service and confidentiality.
