We are seeking a qualified, motivated, and goal-driven Care Worker to support patient care and enhance the overall patient experience at our Waterfall unit.
What You’ll Do
- Clean and prepare dialysis machines before each patient session in line with NRC standards
- Test dialysis machine alarms before each session to ensure patient safety
- Support safe and efficient dialysis service delivery
- Assist with generator checks, maintenance inspections, logging faults, and refuelling
- Order and serve patient meals according to dietary requirements and NRC procedures
- Manage stock and waste in line with financial and unit policies
- Maintain infection control, OHS standards, and a safe working environment
- Demonstrate NRC values and “Caring the NRC Way”
Requirements
- Grade 12 (numeracy and literacy)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (renal experience advantageous)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Team player with high energy levels
- Well organised with attention to quality and detail
- Ethical, honest, and patient-focused
