Job Overview

Gold One Group Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and organised HSE Administrator to support the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department. The role focuses on administrative coordination of safety systems, injury-on-duty processes, compliance documentation, and reporting within a mining operations environment.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong administrative experience in health & safety, medical case management, or hospital administration, particularly those familiar with RMA claims, OHS legislation, and ISO systems.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Certificate in Administration, Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field
  • 2–3 years administrative experience (hospital, health & safety, or case management environment)
  • Experience with RMA administration and injury-on-duty claims (advantageous)
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 systems (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and compensation fund processes
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and recordkeeping skills
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
  • South African citizenship
  • Clear criminal record
  • Medically fit as determined by Occupational Medical Practitioner


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative support to the Health & Safety department
  • Prepare and manage DMPR files for medical case submissions
  • Assist with case reviews, audits, and medical case management coordination
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, registers, and filing systems
  • Compile and distribute safety reports, statistics, and documentation
  • Coordinate safety meetings, inductions, training sessions, and medical bookings
  • Assist with incident, accident, and near-miss reporting documentation
  • Capture and process RMA claims and injury-on-duty documentation
  • Liaise with RMA on claim registration and case follow-ups
  • Maintain employee records for injuries, medical reports, and compensation cases
  • Track employee training, certifications, permits, and medical expiry dates
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance activities
  • Prepare presentations, meeting minutes, and departmental reports
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and legal requirements
  • Perform general administrative duties as required
