Purpose of the Job

The Depot Assistant will support warehouse and depot operations by ensuring smooth daily activities including receiving stock, storage, logistics administration, loading and offloading products, and maintaining safety standards. The role also involves SAP warehouse transactions, stock control, housekeeping, and operational support within the depot environment.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Receiving, binning, stacking, and storing materials correctly
  • Picking and issuing stock accurately
  • Executing SAP warehouse transactions
  • Conducting stock counts and inventory checks
  • Maintaining warehouse compliance and storage standards
  • Loading and offloading bulk products into trucks
  • Operating pumps and forklifts safely
  • Performing housekeeping and maintenance duties
  • Water and product sampling
  • Identifying hazards, risks, and plant defects
  • Ensuring compliance with governance, legal, and safety standards
  • Supporting logistics and warehouse administration activities

Minimum Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • Dangerous Goods Certificate
  • Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant warehouse, logistics, or depot experience

Skills and Competencies
